Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center signs MoU with Arab Youth Center


Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Arab Youth Center from Abu Dhabi. The agreement was signed during the 30th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center until May 29, 2021.

The agreement supports the mutual goals of the two centers in a way that will benefit young people, especially with regard to the promotion of Arabic as a language of life, culture and creativity. Through the MoU, the two sides will coordinate their joint efforts in developing cultural projects supporting young Arabs, as well as supervise, mentor and organize events, activities, seminars, conferences and workshops. The two organizations will benefit from shared databases and will cooperate in joint programs to communicate with young people, providing them with the support they need.

He added: “Young people have great technical skills and they are always up to date with the latest trends and technological developments. They are able to use these advanced skills to produce creative Arabic content and disseminate it to Arabic speakers around the world. With this in mind, and with its innovative programs and unique initiatives, our cooperation with the Arabic Language Center is essential to enrich the quality and quantity of Arabic content.

The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, organized by DCT Abu Dhabi and managed by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, has announced that it will open its doors to visitors of all ages provided they present a negative result of a PCR test carried out within the previous 48 hours.

Running through May 29 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, the show offers free PCR testing for visitors aged 12 and over, at all Abu Dhabi Health Services Company testing centers. (SEHA) from the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, upon presentation of their fair pass. Children under 12 will be allowed to enter the fair with a guardian for two children.
